Measurement Campaign
4 minutes
A measurement campaign is a container for multiple related measurements. It enables grouping related measurements (e.g., all in an area, such as in the vicinity of a transformer station), documenting them together, and creating a comprehensive report.
Example PDF of a measurement campaign with all 4 measurement types (14 MB).
The following measurements are only possible when using measurement campaigns:
When using measurement campaigns, capturing noise sources must also be done within measurement campaigns.
Measurement campaigns can be in one of three states:
- active - there is always only one active measurement campaign (or none), all measurements are assigned to it while it is active. This is indicated in the archive by the blue coloring.
- completed - when a measurement campaign is finished, it can be completed via the menu in the measurement campaign bar. This is indicated in the archive by the green checkmark.
- open - if another measurement campaign is started without completing the previous one, the previous campaign remains open
Starting a Measurement Campaign
A measurement campaign can be started via the measurement campaign bar at the top of the main view.
If no active measurement campaign exists when starting a measurement or documenting a noise source, the dialog to start one is automatically displayed.
The information required for a measurement campaign can be configured via freely configurable extra fields (e.g., ticket number, transformer station number, transformer station name).
The active measurement campaign is displayed in the upper area of the app.
Pause and Resume Measurement Campaign
If a new measurement campaign is started without completing the active one, the active one is set aside.
Set-aside and already completed measurement campaigns can be resumed later via the archive. This also makes it possible to create measurement campaigns in the office and process them in the field.
For more information on sharing measurement campaigns with other users, see Collaboration.
The measurement campaign can also be completed in the details view.
Completing a Measurement Campaign
The measurement campaign can be completed via the menu in the measurement campaign bar (in the upper right area of the app). It is then no longer available in the dropdown menu of the measurement campaign bar. It is still visible in the archive and can be resumed from there if needed.
If email sending of measurement campaigns is active, the PDF report of the measurement campaign is sent upon completion.
Archive
In the archive, all measurement campaigns are displayed as an expandable list.
When expanding a measurement campaign, all contained measurements are displayed. Additionally, via the “Details” button, the measurement campaign can be edited, shared, and the PDF report can be downloaded.
Different icons identify the various measurement types for quick distinction. The number of contained measurements of the different types is shown with the icon and a number.
Search Function: The archive allows searching for measurement campaigns and contained measurements.
Switch to Noise Investigation Archive
By clicking on the title of the measurement campaign archive, you can switch to the noise investigation archive.
Portal View
Completed measurement campaigns can be viewed in the portal under the “Measurement Campaigns” menu item.
The measurement campaigns can also be expanded to see the contained measurement points (Full PLC Checks, channel measurements, noise investigations, long-term measurements).
PDF Report
For each measurement campaign, a comprehensive report can be downloaded as PDF. This contains all measurements of the campaign in chronological order:
The format of the report is configurable if needed.

Configuration
The measurement campaign feature must be enabled in the App Settings in the portal.
The extra fields for measurement campaigns are also configured in the portal.
To better support explicit switching between open measurement campaigns from the measurement campaign menu bar, the app setting “Measurement Campaign Management” can be used. The open measurement campaigns then appear in the menu and can be set as the active measurement campaign with a click.
