Investigation Tasks

2 minutes

As organizational support for noise investigation, technicians can view where investigations are pending in their vicinity based on their current location, allowing them to work efficiently.

This data can be imported into your Noisehund web portal to make it available.

Using freely configurable extra fields, you can store extra information for each planned investigation, e.g., linking to an issue tracking system.

Configuration

Investigation planning must be activated in the App Settings in the portal.

Importing Investigations

Under the Administration menu item (only visible when investigation planning is active), you can import investigation planning data.

  • Call an URL with appropriate parameters
  • Upload CSV file with the relevant information

Technical details can be found in the web portal.

Map in the Portal

Under the Planning menu item (only visible when investigation planning is active), you can see a map with all current investigations.

Map in the App

The map with planned investigations opens via the “Investigation tasks” menu item or the map marker symbol in the top right . The map centers on the current location if location access permission is granted in the mobile browser.

Clicking on a marker shows the following information in the popup (we’re happy to help with configuration):

  • Link to Google/Apple Maps
  • Additional information
  • Links to other systems based on stored additional information
  • Coordinates

Import Data from Map to Investigation

For an additional field that is used for both investigations and investigation tasks, you can activate the “Select from Map” option.

When completing the investigation measurement, you can open the map at the corresponding field

and select the appropriate task on the map

after which the extra fields that are configured for this are copied into the noise investigation.

Extension Possibilities

The investigation planning was developed based on the requirements of a network operator and can be extended if needed.
