The collaboration features enable teams to work together on measurement campaigns, share results, and control data visibility.

Share Measurement Campaigns

Measurement campaigns can be shared with other users. This allows multiple technicians to contribute measurements to the same campaign (e.g., to work in parallel or hand over work).

Sharing in the App:

A button on the measurement campaign allows sharing with another user. To set up sharing for a measurement campaign, the mobile device must have an internet connection at that time.

While the app is generally offline-capable (measurements can be made without internet access), an internet connection is required to receive shared data.

Sharing in the Web Portal: In the web portal, a user can share their own measurement campaigns and further share campaigns that have been shared with them.

Prerequisites

User-Device Assignment: As a prerequisite for sharing measurement campaigns, users must be assigned to the corresponding mobile devices in the web portal. Only users who have at least one mobile device assigned can be selected for sharing.

Warning for Missing Assignment: If there are mobile devices without an assigned user, a warning is displayed on the dashboard for all admin users of the account.

Viewing Sharing Status: For all participants of a shared measurement campaign, it is highlighted with an icon. In the sharing view of the measurement campaign, you can also see which users the campaign is currently shared with.

Synchronization:

A shared measurement campaign, including all contained measurements, is synchronized to the devices of the users it is shared with.

Hint: noise investigations are always get synchronized to the noise investigations archive.

User Groups for Data Visibility

In the web portal, the visibility of measurements can be controlled via user groups.

Group Assignment: Users can be assigned to groups in the web portal.

Visibility with Group: Users with group assignment see:

  • Their own measurement campaigns
  • Measurement campaigns of other users in their group

Filter: By default, only own measurement campaigns are visible. The “Only own” checkbox can be deselected to show all group measurement campaigns.

The default value for “Only own” can be set via a corresponding App Setting, which also activates the user groups feature.

The visibility restriction also applies to the list of noise investigations in the web portal. Users with group assignment only see investigations from themselves and their group.

Users without an assigned group continue to see all data.

When the data visibility feature is enabled, data from measurements in the web portal can only be edited if they were uploaded by a device belonging to the user, or if the measurement campaign containing the measurement has been shared with that user.

Email Sending

PDF reports with measurement results can be automatically sent via email, e.g., for integration into a ticketing system.

Configuration in Portal:

  • Email address for sending
  • Email subject with placeholders for using data from extra fields (e.g., JIRA ticket number)

Automatic Sending:

Without the use of measurement campaigns, captured noise sources are sent after they are uploaded to the web portal.

When using measurement campaigns, sending occurs when a measurement campaign is completed. When this information arrives at the web portal, the email is sent shortly thereafter.

Retry on Error:

If sending fails for technical reasons, two more attempts are made at one-hour intervals. Errors at the recipient (email mailbox full, etc.) do not trigger a retry.

Federated Login

Login to the web portal can be done via Enterprise Single Sign-On (SSO), e.g., via Azure Entra ID.
